ON THE TOP OF PEAK UCHITEL TOUR

Climbing Uchitel Peak in Ala Archa tourPeak Uchitel (4545 m) is one of the highest mountains that can be ascended without any special equipment. What is more, the ascent to the peal doesn’t require any professional training and mountaineering experience. It is also located in one of Kyrgyzstan’s most beautiful national parks Ala-Archa. All these factors make Uchitel Peak an ideal mountain for beginning alpinism enthusiasts, avid hikers, trekkers, and simple adventure seekers.

I have been on the summit of Peak Uchitel, and I truly enjoyed the climb. I want more people to experience the same feeling and emotions I had during my ascent to the top of the mountain.

“On the Top of Peak Uchitel” is an adventure travel tour that will provide you with all the necessary things to successfully and safely climb the mountain.

PEAK UCHITEL TOUR ITINERARY

The whole tour will be carried out inside the Ala-Archa National Park which is located 30 km away from Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic.

DAY ONE: ALA ARCHA PARK, AK-SAI WATERFALL, RATSEK HUT

Ala-Archa National Park in Kyrgyzstan

In the morning, we will start the tour. We will enter Ala-Archa National Park early in the morning. After a medium-difficulty hike, we will reach a beautiful Ak-Sai waterfall. We will stop there and make a small picnic. You will have a lot of time to enjoy the view of the famous waterfall, and take photos, and selfies.

After the picnic (in the second half of the day), we will start our hike toward Ratsek Hut (Ratsek Camp or Ratsek Station). This hike will be more difficult than the previous one. We will need to constantly climb up.

Ratsek Hut is situated at an elevation of 3500 meters. This is why it will take a while to reach it. The road isn’t well paved, and occasionally, you will have to step on unstable boulders.

We will pitch our tents in Ratsek hut. Our cook will prepare a delicious meal for us. We will have dinner near a campfire. Night stories and interesting conversations will ease our acclimatization.

DAY TWO: SHORT ASCENTS FOR ACCLIMATIZATION

Climbing Peak Uchitel Tour

In the morning, we will have a nice breakfast, and then, make a few short ascents to the nearest elevations. A peak that is 5454 meters high shouldn’t be ascended without proper acclimatization. Otherwise, you will put yourself in danger. We will have lunch and the same dinner near a campfire in the evening. This will be a very easy day.

DAY THREE: ON THE TOP OF PEAK UCHITEL

Early in the morning, we will have an energetic breakfast and start our ascent to Peak Uchitel. After approximately 3 to 4 hours, we will be on the summit of Peak Uchitel. This expedition was hard and we have to spend a good amount of time enjoying the view on the summit of Uchitel Peak.

We will have lunch on Peak Uchitel and then start our descent. On the way down to Ratsek Hut, we will visit a glacier with a small lake. You will enjoy the view. We will also have some cups of coffee and tea there. After the glacier, we will return to Ratsek Hut. After a good dinner prepared by our cook, you are free to do whatever you want.

DAY 4: HIKING BACK TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE PARK
